In The Buff

When asked where I most enjoy performing with The Walrus, one place that comes to mind is The Wild Buffalo House of Music in Bellingham, WA. Yes, The Walrus in The Buff. Saturday, September 29th was no exception. The crowd was hot, the women beautiful, and the ale served with a wink and a smile. Sound familiar? If you were there, then you know. If you were not, we missed you. I sometimes forget to check The Walrus schedule myself. If it were not for the terrific bandmates and friends that surround me, I would probably have found myself playing somewhere else. If you were somewhere else, you must have noticed that I wasn’t there. Maybe next time.

Some Walruses will be playing acoustic, classic rock music at the Green Frog Acoustic Tavern on State Street in Bellingham this Tuesday night at the almost daylight hour of 8 (!). The show is billed as “Chuck Dingee,” and I may indeed play some solo tunes toward the end of the night.

But at least a few other Walrus band members will play the first set or two with me. We’ll dust off some of those rock tunes we don’t usually play at dance clubs. It’ll be great fun and there’s no cover charge. (Remember, though: we rely on your tips for our pay.)
