Virgo Party: Saturday, Sept. 9

August 30, 2006

This year’s annual Walrus Virgo party moves from the block in front of our house to the Wild Buffalo House of Music in Bellingham.

The Virgo and non-Virgo members of the classic rock band, Walrus, will take the stage at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 at Bellingham’s best music and dance venue.

Virgos and others who have signed up on the Walrus e-mail list will get the usual discount to the Buffalo’s admission price. If you’ve been to this event before, please bring your “Kiss Me, I’m a Virgo” button.

Walrus at Longhorn Saloon, Aug. 5, 2006

August 4, 2006

The Walrus, my favorite rock band, will perform Saturday (August 5) at the Longhorn Saloon in Edison from 9 pm to 1 am. This is the fourth time the fab five has played at the Longhorn. Chuck says it’s “way more fun than you’d think a small tavern in Edison would be.”

Rockin’ Sea Mammals Chuck, Jamie, Walt, Joe and Michael will play their classic rock repertoire and some originals inside the bar. Chuck also says that the Longhorn has excellent burgers and oysters, too. Walrus food. Go figure.

The cover charge is $5, but if you’re on the Walrus mailing list, you’d get a discount. Sign up for the Walrus mailing list at www.tusktusk.com.

If you don’t know where the Longhorn is, it is at the main corner in Edison.

And if you can’t get there, you can see The Walrus at the Fairhaven Pub & Martini Bar on Friday, Aug. 11. Chuck promises he’ll play the song he wrote for yours truly, Capt Kathy, some 13 years ago, “StarCharter.” I’m going to that one for sure!
